![]() Four weeks ago I discovered this little hidden (REALLY hidden) gem of a space in St. Louis county. You know how you sometimes have to look hard for the silver lining in any challenging situation? Well, that's what this inspired space is called: Silver Lining. And it's behind and underneath Straub's at the corner of Mason & Clayton. Click here for a map. So fitting. It was at the end of day 587 of office hunting and I was frustrated and starting to feel hopeless. A friend on Facebook had mentioned Silver Lining in a post a few weeks prior as a response to my quest for non-officy office space. She was seeing a nutritionist there and thought I'd fit right in. I dismissed it having had a goal in mind of being EAST OF 270. Turns out my peeps know me well. I was in traffic driving west and just about to pass Mason Rd. when I thought, "What the hay... I'll check this place out." I walked in and my hand went straight to my heart and my jaw fell to the floor. It was like someone had made a boutique just for me. I looked around and saw books I read, things I would wear and eat, cards and gifts that I would give, events I would go to, and a yoga room I would use (have I told you my research in my Ph.D. program was on a yoga intervention for couples...I know, sounds wu wu....but there's actually a lot of compelling science behind it. And don't worry if yoga's not your thing, I don't make my clients do yoga). And it was all in one place. If Meg, the lady behind the counter (and co-owner and life coach), wasn't into the whole "you create your own reality" stuff...she probably would have thought I was nuts. I looked at her and said, "This is going to sound forward...like I'm a dude at a bar asking to sleep with you at first meeting...but, can I move in?" There are 4 offices in the back for practitioners. Meg describes Silver Lining as an inspired space where you can "shop, share, and shine." Deal. I'm in. Where do I sign? I brought the hubs in to see the place before I sealed the deal. Listen...this IS NOT his kinda place. Like, not at all. I was nervous he would shoot it all down with his logic and facts, but he used logic and facts to convince me even more that this is the place I should be! That, folks, is a sign ;-) He could see how well I would fit in there. You don't have to love the place to be my client or vice versa. But I love it, so I'll be hanging out there Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. For now my time will be split between this location and my office in Lake Saint Louis. I would love to see you there whether it's for shopping or shining or sharing. It's such a neat place. Shine on, friends, P.S. - If you'd like to start seeing me at either location your first step is to schedule a FREE clarity call where I like to hear more about where you are, get clear on where you'd like to be and what goals you have, and create some actionable steps to getting you more of what you want. I like to give people a chance to do this before the first session to make sure we're a good fit for each other. It's what I would want if I were on the other end.
