“We don’t talk about it…”
"We don't talk about it" is something I hear a lot as a couples therapist.
From subjects like finances to who does what around the house or with the kids to quality time, people aren't talking.
Could you imagine running a company without departments, roles, or meetings to get on the same page? Also, what would morale be like if this were the case?
Who does what? Who knows?! I bet you wouldn't invest in this company if you knew it had little clarity or communication.
In my opinion, "Is this working?" and "What needs to shift and change?" aren't asked often enough in relationships.
For a lot of us, it seems we just don't know what we SHOULD be talking about. We assume great relationships don't have to talk about these things, or we aren't confident that we can get through these conversations to a resolution, so we avoid them like the plague.
This is why I created the How to Talk About It Podcast. I hope it inspires you to connect in meaningful ways with the people you love the most so that you can have more happy and deeply connected relationships.

IGNORE the “weeklyish” in this image, LOL…it turns out putting out a podcast is a lot of work! I LOVE recording episodes, so we are working out the kinks to release episodes with more frequency this year.
Because you deserve happy relationships,
